One-of-a-Kind Ceramics

All of these tiles are bisque that have been glazed several
times to obtain the dimensional colors. It's colors on top
of colors. It's fun to layer the colors and fire - I never
know what I will get! Most of the heart designs are my "Ceramic
Cookies". Each one is created by rolling out clay and
cut using cookie cutters. They are fired, then glazed
several times to obtain the color build-up. Each is then
glazed & fired (fused) onto a glazed tile. Some of the hearts have
words imprinted using rubber stamps. Each completed tile has
been glued into a hand painted wood frame and grouted with
dimensional paste. Each framed piece of artwork is ready to
hang on the wall. I love these pieces because the
colors make me smile. Probably 'cause I never know how they
will turn out until I open the kiln lid. It's a surprise
every time! |

Deep Aqua
Trio This framed one-of-a-kind ceramic trio features deep aqua, blue and green with hints of coral and three ceramic cookie hearts. The top lavender heart is stamped with the word "love". Three Hearts Trio This framed one-of-a-kind ceramic trio features multi-colored 6" tiles with three ceramic cookie hearts. The hearts are stamped with texture, swirls and curls. The left heart is two-toned pink, the middle is green with purple and the right heart is pink with heavy lavender and a touch of green.
